Position Summary: The Financial Analyst, FP&A, is responsible for providing the Finance team with analyses to understand financial and operating aspects of the business and assess performance. This position reports to the Finance Manager, will have regular interaction with and will provide support to the Department Managers and corporate accounting. Essential job functions to be performed: · Financial analysis and month-end close – partner with accounting on monthly close and recommend changes to accounting transactions, as necessary. Prepare and present analyses of actual results, forecasts, and trends. Leverage analytical tools to quickly access data and present meaningful, concise information with recommendations for action. · Ongoing forecasting – compile and analyze forecasts compared to actual results, annual budgets and previous forecasts. Coordinate with team to incorporate into the broader forecasting model. · Annual budgeting process – assist in the development of the corporation’s annual consolidated budget process.
