Description Block Tech I – Texas Speed Location This position is responsible for the Block Department support as listed below for Texas Speed and Performance. Reports to Block Department Manager. Pay Range: $16h-$19h: Specific Duties and Responsibilities: - Engine Tear Down Process (Label components and maintain traceability) - Visual Inspection of all blocks from start to finish - Prep blocks and visually inspect blocks before machining - Prep blocks for engine builds (install cam bearings and plugs) - Prep sleeves and block for sleeving (deburr sleeves / heat block in oven) - Maintains positive working relationship with manufacturing personnel and other staff members to support a positive workplace environment. - Responsible for implementing and enforcing industry standard safety procedures throughout the block department. - Performs and executes all other duties assigned by direct manager. Requirements: Minimum Requirements/Qualifications: - Dynamic, high-energy individual with a track record as an effective communicator and uses a collaborative approach to problem solving. - Exceptional Mechanical Abilities - Be able to use Measuring Equipment (Mics, Calipers, Bore Gauge, ect.....
