Wages: Starting wage for an Power Generator Technician will depend on experience and education. $33.80-$41.50 Responsibilities: What You’ll Do: - Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on standby generator systems ranging from 5 kW to 3200 kW - Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair diesel and gas industrial engines - Work with CAT engines and power generation systems - Perform and follow proper procedures for load bank testing - Troubleshoot AC/DC control systems and emergency repair situations - Read and interpret wiring diagrams and electrical schematics - Understand and work with automatic transfer switches (ATS) and control logic - Complete preventative maintenance and major component repairs - Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers - Work independently with minimal supervision - Maintain a...
