Material Coordinator

Description The Material Coordinator ensures the right materials are available at the right time to support efficient production of laminated wood cabinetry. This role manages material flow from purchasing through delivery to the production floor, maintains accurate inventory levels, and coordinates closely with production, purchasing, and logistics teams. Success in this position is defined by material accuracy, minimal production downtime, and smooth coordination across departments. Key Responsibilities: - Coordinate the flow of raw materials, hardware, and components required for laminated wood cabinetry production. - Maintain accurate inventory levels through cycle counts, system updates, and reconciliation of discrepancies. - Monitor material usage and anticipate shortages based on production schedules and order forecasts. - Communicate daily with production supervisors to understand material needs, changes, and priorities. - Work with purchasing to track open orders, expedite materials, and resolve supplier issues. - Stage materials for production lines and ensure timely delivery to workstations. - Review job travelers, cut lists, and BOMs to verify material requirements. - I...
