Job Description Summary: This position participates in the development and implementation of lactation services which may include: clinical, rental and retail services. They are responsible for the provision of patient care through individualized consultation, telephone help line. Responsibilities And Duties: 80% Provides education, demonstration and assistance with the correction of breastfeeding problems for mothers and infants, beyond the scope of normal nursing care, during individualized sessions before, during or after the hospital stay. May be asked to perform staff registered nurse duties. 8% Maintains equipment, supplies and educational material needed for patient care.
