Full Time (80 Hours/Biweekly) Shift: Nights (10 Hours): Expected to Travel to Dover sleep lab for Training General Summary: Under the direction of a registered sleep technologist, performs a variety of tests related to the diagnosis and treatment of sleep-related breathing disorders according to established standards and practices. Essential Functions: - Schedules, performs and evaluates the technical validity of overnight sleep studies, nocturnal pulse oximetry, and other related studies. - Sets up and applies polysomnographic monitoring devices, ensuring patient safety and accurate test results according to AASM guidelines. - Provides summary analysis/reports of all polysomnographic studies for physician review. - Instructs patient in the home use of therapeutic devices. - Conducts self-learning modules in preparation for credentialing exam - Acquires clinical knowledge and skills to remain current to meet the unique needs of patients related to functional capacity, physical limitations, psychosocial needs and age/population related illnesses. - Completes all documentation necessary related to the testing process.
