PHYSICAL THERAPIST ASSISTANT: Job Description: Patients are treated in an effective, efficient, and caring manner under the supervision of licensed physical therapists. Information about patient treatment is communicated in oral and/or written form in a concise, informative, and timely way and in accordance with all regulatory requirements. Support staff or students participating in the care of the patient are supervised to assure the appropriateness and effectiveness of care. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Collaborates with the treating physical therapist to develop and implement treatment plans and goals. Administers appropriate therapeutic techniques accurately and continuously monitors the patient's response to treatment, informing the treating physical therapist of changes in status or functioning. Documents patient care accurately and in a timely way in the medical record and as needed to facilitate continued care or billing.
