Principal Accountabilities: 1. Handles patient intake, updates medical records, and administers appropriate screening tools. 2. Documents appropriate correspondence, assessments, and care in patient's electronic medical records (EMR). 3. Assists with scheduled clinic visits, ensures verification and recording of clinical data and adherence to quality standards. 4. Monitors environment for compliance with continual accreditation readiness and evaluates practice schedule for changes or updates. 5. Demonstrates knowledge of the certified medical assistant scope of practice, incorporating elements of holistic patient-centered and team-based care. 6. Guides patients through the health care system and helps patients arrive at scheduled appointments on time. 7. Assists with referrals of patients to the appropriate specialist for diagnosis or treatment and provides emotional support related to the patient's clinical situation in accordance with the plan of care. 8.
