Senior Pharmacy Technician supports SMG clinicians and pharmacists by preparing and triaging prescription refill requests received through Epic, MyChart, fax, and phone encounters. The role focuses on accuracy, efficiency, and patient safety, ensuring refill requests are complete, appropriate, and routed correctly for pharmacist or clinician review. The Senior Ambulatory Pharmacy Technician provides expertise in supporting Ambulatory Clinical Pharmacy practice. In addition to the regular Ambulatory Pharmacy Technician duties and direct patient interactions, this role is key to supporting both caregivers and the department leadership meeting clinical and operational goals.
