Non-Tenure Track Assistant or Associate Teaching Professor, Department of Writing Arts

The Department of Writing Arts at Rowan University is seeking to hire a Teaching Professor with an appointment to begin September 1, 2026. Candidates will be considered as the Assistant and Associate Teaching Professor levels. Teaching assignments will primarily be in the areas of technical writing, scientific writing, and Engineering-cohorted sections of first-year writing. Additional course assignments are possible, determined by departmental need and based on the faculty member's experience and expertise. In service to the department, faculty in this position are expected to attend departmental, college, and university events and to serve on committees such as curriculum development, assessment, and outreach. Faculty may also pursue other service responsibilities as sought or assigned. In addition, faculty are expected to engage in professional development.
