Looking for an opportunity to make an impact? The Defense Sector at Leidos has an opening for a Portfolio Chief Engineer . The Chief Engineer will provide both tactical and strategic technical leadership for the Test Instrumentation & Lethal Mechanisms (TI&LM) Portfolio. This position will be based onsite at Leidos in Huntsville, AL. The TI&LM portfolio specializes in the design, development, production and test of various electronic fuzing, telemetry and flight data acquisition products for DoD and Aerospace customers. This is a full-time, fast-paced, high-visibility position that will report to the TI&LM Portfolio Manager and have supervisory responsibility. Primary Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: - Provide technical ownership and oversight of all current and future products within the TI&LM portfolio - Drive application of engineering principles to business practice - Organize and direct engineering staff to meet objectives for design, new product development and improvement of existing designs - Oversee design concepts and fundamental technology used for new products/designs/technology or improvement of existing ones - Drive design for manufacturability (DFM),...
