Environmental Specialist

Job description

About the role: The Environment Specialist integrates the BC environmental strategy in the daily operations and management of the site(s). The activities include the deployment of environmental routines, maintaining compliance and permits, and supporting the company’s environmental goals. This role ensures the site meets its environment related regulatory and BC requirements. The Environment Specialist drives the programs to deliver on reducing the environmental impact, preventing and managing environmental incidents, provide training, review and consolidate permits and regulatory gap analysis, and identify and implement best practices. Core internal stakeholders are the plant manager, project engineers, process & manufacturing teams, quality and maintenance teams in the site locations. External stakeholders include suppliers, contractors, consultants, regulatory authorities and auditors.
