Job description

Performs aircraft on and off equipment weapons systems repair and maintenance tasks. Performs aircraft weapons systems scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, servicing, launch and recovery, corrosion control, and inspection with minimum supervision. Operates ground support equipment and flight line vehicles. Assists in aircraft/equipment movement and flight line foreign object prevention walks. Works for the Lead Mechanic Ordnance. Must have extensive knowledge of the aircraft weapons systems for which he is certified. Must be customer-oriented. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES: Responsible for all weapons system on and off equipment maintenance on T-45 aircraft. · Removes, transports, inspects, repairs, and reinstalls launcher rails. · Inspects, repairs, and cleans aircraft pylons. · Inventories, stores, removes, and replaces CAD/PAD explosive items Performs aircraft weapons systems scheduled/unscheduled on and off equipment maintenance. Performs aircraft weapons systems corrosion control procedures to include active cleaning wash, wipe down, preservation and storage.
