Job description

We are looking for a Solicitor with commercial experience in the mining sector and also a Solicitor with contentious experience in the mining sector. Key areas of responsibility: - assisting AVZ Minerals in obtaining a return for shareholders from the Manono Lithium Project in the DRC including ICSID and ICC arbitration proceedings; - advising POSCO on the acquisition of a minority interest in Mineral Resources' lithium operations; - assisting a PE fund specialising in mines and metals with the deployment of capital in Australia; - advising the WA mining industry on the test case in relation to whether the holder of a miscellaneous licence is liable to pay Shire rates; - advising on the acquisition of operating copper mines in Kazakhstan; - advising a gold miner on the retention of its tenement portfolio including proceedings before the Mining Warden; - implementing an Asian steel-maker’s green-steel vision in Australia; - advising in relation to the proposed development of brine lithium resources in South America; - assisting on the acq...
