Accounting Intern (Part Time)

DESCRIPTION OF POSITION: - The Accounting Intern will support the Finance Department by assisting with daily accounting operations, financial reporting, reconciliations, and special projects. This role offers hands-on experience in healthcare finance and provides exposure to revenue cycle processes, budgeting, and financial analysis within a large health system. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: - Support all Accounting functions such as General Ledger, Accounts Payable, and Payroll - Support month-end and year-end closing activities - Help compile financial reports, schedules, and analytics for internal stakeholders - Perform account reconciliations under supervision - Review and match invoices, receipts, and supporting financial documents - Other tasks as assigned. EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE: - Applicant is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or Business Administration from an accredited college or university. - Students in their Sophomore, Junior, or Senior year are strongly preferred. - A minimum GPA of 3.0 is preferred. - Experience preparing spreadsheets, reports, or class-related financial analysis is preferred. - Ability to respond to common inquiri...
