- Permanent Full Time Position - Afternoon Shift Monday - Friday - Modern Fleet of Heavy Vehicles - Competitive Hourly Rate + Afternoon shift loading The Opportunity: We’re looking for a skilled and experienced Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to join our team at our Dandenong South workshop. In this hands-on role, you will take the lead in maintaining and repairing our fleet of waste trucks and truck bodies, ensuring everything runs safely and efficiently. - Perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a wide range of heavy vehicles - Conduct scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance to ensure fleet safety and compliance - Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults - Maintain accurate service records using fleet management systems - Support workshop safety and cleanliness in line with WHS policies - Carry out basic welding and grinding work as required About You: - Trade qualification as a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic / Diesel Fitter (Cert III or equivalent) - A valid HR licence (advantageous) - Strong understanding of hydraulics and electrics - Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical issues efficiently and cost-effectively - Experience with fleet maintena...
