POSITION OVERVIEW: The Oxygen Plant Operator will perform all necessary tasks required to support the care and maintenance of the Hayden Smelter. The Oxygen Plant Operator must have the skills and ability to perform tasks associated with the plant compressed air system operation and support, plant, cooling and potable water system analysis and repairs, as well as operation and rotation of all equipment in care and maintenance status. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Additional responsibilities and duties may be assigned according to business needs. - Inspect, cycle and perform preventative maintenance on Generators. - Operate mobile equipment to maintenance compliance with the Consent Decree including but not limited to the operation of street sweepers, water trucks and forklifts. - Operate and perform preventative maintenance services on the compressed air systems, high pressure systems and plant air systems. - Operate and maintain water systems including, soft water, cooling water, convertor jacket water and perform water sampling and analysis as required. - Responds to equipment alerts and communicates with operators to inspect the equipment. - Environmental Duties including Oil Spills clea...
