Field Service Technician

Job description

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: - Interface with internal team to obtain a thorough understanding of NOV Service Equipment products and how they are safely operated, tested, calibrated and problems resolved in a timely manner. - Travel to customer sites to inspect, install, commission, test, calibrate, repair, and train customers on the safe and proper operation of NOV products - Performs preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment and systems (e.g., mechanical, electrical) - Evaluates and recommends equipment improvements to improve availability, capability, and yield - Performs equipment failure analyses (including preventive and unscheduled maintenance) - Troubleshoots and diagnoses equipment problems - Prepares technical reports to document equipment modifications and equipment maintenance procedures - Perform field upgrades of software and hardware and train customers on how to properly operate and maintain equipment. - Communicate field failures and feedback reports to the appropriate departments - Clear, concise, and accurate service reporting upon completion of service - The technician is self-dispatched.
