About the Role: A Ward Clerk serves as a central point of coordination within the hospital and emergency department, managing and organizing patient information to support nurses, advanced practice providers (APPs), and physicians. This role facilitates clear and timely communication between clinical staff, patients, and family members, ensuring information is accurately relayed. Ward Clerks also coordinate patient transfers, including arranging air and ground transport for individuals requiring a higher level of care than the facility can provide, helping to ensure smooth and efficient patient flow throughout the care process.
