Job description

OVERVIEW : The I&C Specialist I is responsible for utilizing and programing PLC control systems, SCADA Systems, and Human Machine Interface software to effectively design and implement instrumentation and control systems for water/wastewater projects. The I&C Specialist I utilizes AutoCAD to design and develop complex instrument control loops, instrument and electrical installation details, instrument location drawings, motor control schematics, conduit routing, and control panel design. DURING YOUR WORK DAY, YOU WILL: - Utilizes and programs PLC control systems, SCADA Systems, and Human Machine Interface software to effectively design and implement instrumentation and control systems for water/wastewater projects. - Prepares specifications and drawings, writes control system descriptions, and performs start up and commissioning activities with minimal input from other personnel. - Understands and implements communications systems such as Ethernet based local area networks and wireless radio systems. - Creates instrument material take-offs from drawings. - Works closely with Project Managers, project team, and clients to implement solutions.
