The Team: The Hospital Aide team within the Department of Health Tasmania plays a vital role in supporting safe, clean, and efficient hospital operations. Working collaboratively across wards and departments, Hospital Aides assist clinical staff by maintaining high standards of hygiene, infection control, and patient support services. The Wards: K9E: 33 bed orthopaedic, plastics, surgical specialties and the statewide burns service K9W: 32 bed general surgical, vascular and gynaecology ward 6A: 24 bed Trauma and Acute Surgical Unit, which provides care to emergency surgery and trauma patients.
