Facilities Technician

Job description

Essential Functions: - Performs ongoing preventive and regular maintenance on all property mechanical, electrical, plumbing, structural, fire life safety, motors, panels, control systems, and other facilities related systems and equipment. - Maintains responsibility for facility services, preventive maintenance, inventory control, contracted maintenance, general maintenance, and technical proficiency. - Performs property inspections and reports findings to direct leader. - Must have advanced skills in painting, taping, and wall papering. - Responsible for the preparation and implementation of all types of paints, varnishes, sealers, and rust proofing - Responsible for repairing, refinishing, staining, and touch-up of all woodwork and furniture. - Moves office furniture, machinery, equipment, and other materials as requested. - Replaces burned out light bulbs and ballasts, checks electrical circuits, repair dimmers, refrigeration controls and contacts. - Familiar with the installation as well as the repair of any and all electrical equipment. - Repairs doors, windows, and cabinet work. - Fabricates office partitions, doors, cornices, counters, panel walls and ceilings. - Performs al...
