Overview We are seeking a Step-Down Unit RN , sometimes referred to as our Step-Down RN or Step-Down Cardiac Nurse. A Step-Down RN is a registered nurse who specializes in providing care for patients who are recovering from cardiac procedures, surgeries, or events like heart attacks. The Step-Down RN offer an intermediate level of care between the ICU and the general medical-surgical floor. Step-Down Nurses are responsible for close monitoring, medication administration, patient education, and care coordination.
