Accounting Manager

Job description

Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead financial operations for one of our manufacturing facilities, with oversight of two additional smaller locations. This role will be responsible for end-to-end accounting, financial reporting, FP&A support, and intercompany management across multiple entities within the Metal Roofing Group. The position will partner closely with plant leadership, Director of Accounting – Metal roofing group and the corporate finance team to drive financial accuracy, operational insights, and process improvements. Key Responsibilities: Accounting & Close Process: - Lead and manage the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes for three manufacturing locations - Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP - Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analyses - Maintain integrity of the general ledger and enforce strong internal controls Manufacturing & Cost Accounting: - Oversee inventory accounting, standard costing, and cost of goods sold (COGS) analysis - Analyze production variances, material usage, labor, and overhead absorption - Partner with...
