Summary: Applicants must possess a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited college or university and must be a graduate of a dental school accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA), or have equivalent training recognized by the California Dental Board. Completion of a Prosthodontics residency program is required, with a CODA-accredited program preferred. Candidates must meet all requirements for licensure in the State of California, which may include completion of a CODA-accredited program or another pathway recognized by the California Dental Board. Certification by the American Board of Prosthodontics is preferred.
