SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Director of Loan Review, will provide assistance for the independent and objective evaluation of the quality of the loan portfolio, the adequacy of loan documentation, and the effectiveness of loan administration functions. Assists with the effective communication of results from reviews, in verbal and written forms. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Thorough knowledge of commercial and consumer lending, banking laws and regulations, to effectively assist with the assessment of credit risk and the monitoring of compliance with loan policy, policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations. Assists with identification and assessment of credit, legal and strategic risks arising from lending activities. Assesses collectability of extensions of credit through review of customer financial information, collateral information and documentation, and payment history. Assigns appropriate risk grades to reflect relative risk of default or loss. Recommends corrective actions to assist with resolution or workout of problem situations.
