Operations Manager - R&IC Pilot Plant

Job description

The Operations Manager has general management responsibility of the Research & Development Pilot Plant as well as the facility maintenance of the R&D labs. This includes strategic planning for the Pilot Plant capabilities and responsibilities including plant safety, maintenance & engineering, materials control and employee relations. The Operations Manager will manage a team of 15 – 20 personnel through the start-up of the R&IC Pilot Plant and be responsible for maintaining the existing and future lab R&D lab spaces. Duties and Responsibilities: - Develop a team to provide exceptional maintenance and engineering support while maintaining a safe work environment. Specific duties include management of employees, safety implementation, development/training, plant scheduling, recruiting/terminations, customer contact, supplier evaluation, and process - Oversight and leadership of the Lean journey in the pilot plant. This includes leveraging the Carlisle Operating System (COS) to determine priorities, ensure equipment availability and manage material flows.
