Job Description Position Details: This position is represented by a labor union Drivers hired as Casuals under the union collective bargaining agreement will be on call 24/7 to cover needed shifts. If a Casual driver is subsequently offered a position as a Regular under the collective bargaining agreement, a set schedule will be available, as determined by a driver bid by seniority. Responsibilities: Provide safe, professional and efficient operation of a commercial motor vehicle and other company equipment. Operation includes performing basic functions like driving forwards, driving backwards and maneuvering in tight spaces Provide friendly and courteous service to Schnucks stores. Unload and deliver products to Schnucks stores, including with use of a powered industrial truck or hand jack. Regular, reliable, predictable attendance is an essential function of the job. Pre/Post trip inspections on tractors and trailers. Compliance with laws, regulations and rules related to operation of a commercial motor vehicle, including DOT regulations.
