POSITION SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Medication Refill Center Managers, and according to department policies, procedures, and guidelines, is responsible for managing prescription refill requests submitted to the associated clinical department at Boston Medical Center. Position : Medication Refill Center Pharmacist Department : Centralized GIM Rx Refill Schedule : Full Time: ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES: Triage and process approvals for refill renewal requests received by the associated medical clinic, following a specified refill protocol and scope of practice agreement. Collaborate directly with pharmacies, providers, and patients, serving as the lead for refill renewals for medications within scope and protocol. Triage requests requiring additional information and facilitate ambulatory engagement for patients when necessary. Actively recruit patients identified as likely to benefit from Boston Medical Center Outpatient Pharmacy services. EDUCATION: Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited college of pharmacy. Advanced degree (e.g. PharmD, M.S. or MBA) preferred.
