Employment Type: Full time Shift: Day Shift Description: Tier 1 Mechanic supports the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of buildings, equipment, and infrastructure. This role focuses on routine maintenance, basic repairs, and assisting higher-level technicians to ensure a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors. The hours for this position: Monday - Friday; 7:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Position Requirements: Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical school or associate degree in HVAC/R or a related field preferred. Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a maintenance field required - Basic knowledge of building systems (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry). - Ability to use hand and power tools safely - Strong customer service skills when interacting with hospital staff - Ability to lift and move equipment up to typical maintenance standards - Willingness to work rotating shifts including weekends or on‑call as needed Position Purpose to Demonstrate: - Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic HVAC/R systems - Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, schematics, and regulatory documents. - Strong problem-solving...
