Performs a variety of technical imaging procedures that require independent judgment, appropriate technical skills in ultrasonography, and a commitment to patient safety, all of which are considered requisite professional characteristics for individuals assuming the position as a sonographer. Education: - Performs high quality US imaging studies by selecting specific software parameters that will produce a quality image for use by radiologists in their determination of a diagnosis. Operates US equipment to produce and record images of the motion, shape, and composition of blood, organs, tissues, and bodily masses such as fluid accumulations.
