Description Night OR Nurse Operation Room Tour Responsibilities : - The OR Nurse plans and delivers patient care - Collaborates with the surgical team to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients - Perform pre-operative assessments, including reviewing patient histories and conducting physical examinations - Perform scrub functions including selection and handling of instruments and supplies during procedures - Perform circulating functions including monitoring, recording and communication of patient condition - Monitor patients' vital signs and ensure their safety and comfort throughout the surgical process - Assist with specimen collection, processing, and documentation - Educate patients and family - Plan continuum of care Required: Preferred: - Graduation from an accredited nursing program; basic professional nursing degree (with requirement to obtain a BSN/MSN within a specific time frame) - Current licensure by the Maryland State Board of Nursing or Compact State as a Registered Nurse. - BLS certification (American Heart Association) - At least 1 year of nursing experience in a surgical setting (scrubbing and circulating) - BSN or MSN preferred
