Job Summary: Under indirect supervision, oversee work performed by contractors on AEP electrical facilities. Job Description: Distribution System Inspector - Distribution System Inspector Sr.: What You'll Do: - Assist with job planning, safety, crew critique, or other tasks as needed. - Inspect and accept or reject contractor work for compliance to safety, design, construction standards, and construction quality. - Assure contracted construction projects flow smoothly. - Resolve customers' concerns associated with work performed by contractors. - Document construction events to protect AEP's interest from future claims. - Assure contractor invoices are accurate, complete, and reasonable. - Provide feedback concerning contractor performance to Contract Administration for use in future contracting activities. - Certify acceptability of contractors' work for invoice approval and payment. - Assume other duties as required.
