Job Title Chief Electrical Officer Agency: Texas A&M University at Galveston Department: Texas A&M Maritime Academy Proposed Minimum Salary: $9,297.67 monthly Job Location: Galveston, Texas Job Type: Staff Job Description: A Glimpse of the Job: The Chief Electrical Officer's duties include leading the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of all shipboard electrical, automation and control systems to ensure that they provide the functionality that is intended and ensuring they comply with USCG regulations and Class Rules. This role requires independent action and the ability to lead and mentor technical personnel in proper operation and maintenance procedures. A requirement of the position is the ability to utilize an IEC-based drawing and manual set effectively maintain, troubleshoot and repair equipment and systems aboard the vessel. They should be familiar with communication protocols utilized to interconnect equipment and systems.
