Work Schedule: 100% FTE, 40 hours per week. Shifts scheduled Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. Hours may vary based on the needs of the clinic. We are seeking a Genetic Counselor Assistant to: - Work collaboratively to support the functions of the genetic counseling team across the organization. - Draw and update patient pedigrees using patient history forms. - Assist genetic counselors with administrative tasks such as patient scheduling, case preparation, sending faxes, writing letters of medical necessity and completing any additional paperwork, etc. - Call to obtain results or additional records from various hospital departments, outside laboratories, and/or physician offices prior to the appointment or as requested for emergent inpatient consults. - Perform literature reviews under the guidance of the genetic counselor.
