Description The School of Nursing (SON) and the Stony Brook Cancer Center (SBCC) are inviting applications for a faculty member at the rank of Assistant, Associate or Full Professor in the area of cancer research. Under new leadership, the SBCC is experiencing a period of dynamic growth, and is partnering with the SON to hire a new faculty member with a nursing and research background focused on cancer. Candidates must have demonstrated research achievements commensurate with experience. The expectation is that those at the Assistant Professor level will have a high potential to attain NIH cancer relevant funding, if not already funded, and those at higher ranks will have said funding. Candidates whose research focuses upon areas relevant to Community Outreach and Engagement (COE), survivorship and/or prevention, are of particular interest. Candidates with experience and interest in the use of artificial intelligence (AI), biomedical informatics and remote sensing technology are also of particular interest.
