Liquid Penetrant Level II - 2nd Shift

Overview The Liquid Penetrant Level II Technician is responsible for performing and evaluating liquid penetrant tests to detect surface discontinuities on materials and components. This role ensures compliance with industry standards, customer specifications, and internal quality requirements. The Level II technician is also qualified to set up and calibrate equipment, interpret results, and generate reports. Salary: Starting $22-$28/hour DOE + $1.00 Shift Differential This is a second shift position, hours are: 1-9:30pm (with the opportunity to work overtime) Responsibilities: - Perform liquid penetrant (PT) testing in accordance with approved procedures, codes, and standards (e.g., ASTM E1417, ASME (minimum). - Prepare test surfaces, apply penetrants, remove excess, apply developers, and inspect for indications. - Must be able to interpret and evaluate test results based on knowledge of codes, specifications, and acceptance criteria. - Have experience documenting test results accurately in inspection reports and maintain proper records. - Set up and calibrate PT equipment; verify functionality and ensure proper maintenance. - Work from technical procedures, customer techniques an...
