For more detailed information, please visit our benefits page at SCBenefits . The Reserve EMT provides patient care in accordance with KBEMS regulations and Sedgwick County EMS Protocols. Reserve EMTs will work primarily in the capacity of providing coverage at standby events or as a 3rd person on an ambulance. They will be directly supervised when on emergency 911 calls and will be an addition to the crew and will not count as one of the 2 required crew members. Standby coverage: Assess for the need for transport units and call units as needed Call for additional assessment of any patient triaged “yellow” or above Coordinate transport of the patient out of the venue in the safest way possible. - Provide coverage at standby events Documentation: Complete care reports of patient refusals as needed - Fill out standby form to include hours worked Out of hospital health care: Assist with patien...
