Associate Counsel

Job description

Essential Job Functions: - Provide legal support to the General Manager and other senior leaders. - Complimentary privileges within prescribed limits in accordance with the approved Comp Matrix - Assist in the implementation of compliance programs and monitor daily adherence to regulatory requirements. - Serve as primary legal contact for the property human resources department and provide information and advice relating to complex employment law and practices. - Perform legal research, draft position statements, and gather evidence for active litigation. - Negotiate and/or review commercial contracts, leases, and agreements with management concerning effectiveness and potential or actual problems. - Review and suggest updates to company policies, procedures and handbook as a means of reducing risk to the company. - Assist in the coordination of filings and other communications with certain state and federal regulatory agencies. - Manage outside counsel as needed. - Collaborate with Operations and Human Resources on insurance claims and coordinator with outside counsel on risk matters. - Represent the company in legal matters. - Coordinate and prepare witnesses for arbitrations and...
