Job description

SUMMARY: Mortenson is currently seeking a Laborer Yard Foreman that will be responsible for coordinating crews, preparing, handling, and supplying materials to be used by other crafts. RESPONSIBILITIES: - Read blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures - Supervise and coordinate activities of laborers and their assigned roles - Interpret specifications, blueprints, and job orders - Interpret company policies to workers and enforce safety regulations - Establish and adjust work sequences to meet construction schedules, using knowledge of equipment capacities and assigned personnel - Study and analyze schedules and estimate worker-hour requirements for job completion - Analyze and resolve work problems - Maintain time records - Make cost estimates for contracts - Use logical step-by-step procedures in work; plan work and solve problems; make decisions based on measurable information; may operate machinery - Provide work direction to laborer I, II, Journeyman, Apprentice, and Helpers - Work according to standard, detailed instructions and established, well-defined procedures - Determine work method from alternatives - Work under broad assignments - Effectively work...
