Stocks and displays merchandise. Reports to the immediate supervisor or assistant manager. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Operates cash register station to itemize and total purchases. Collects money from customers and gives accurate change. Places merchandise in bags or boxes for customers. Balances cash received with cash sales daily. Follows the cashier manual to ensure accuracy and accountability. Straightens the merchandise racks by removing empty hangers and placing merchandise in its proper location. Ensures aisles and floors are clear of debris and merchandise. Ensures merchandise is displayed according to store standards. Rotates merchandise on sales floor to other areas of department for better sales effect or to production area as requested.
