Description The University of Oklahoma’s Weitzenhoffer Family College of Fine Arts, School of Dance, is seeking an Assistant Professor of Modern Dance to start in August 2026. Housed in the Reynolds Performing Arts Center and annually ranked as one of the top institutions in ballet and modern dance, the school offers a BFA in, modern dance performance, ballet performance, ballet pedagogy and an MFA degree in dance. A strong foundation for the development and growth of the modern dance area has been built over the past several years, with enrollment increasing from 12 to 45 since 2005. Our school, consisting of over 80 dance majors, emphasizes performance, with multiple mainstage performance opportunities each year and highly refined training that prepares our graduates to meet the expectations of a professional career in dance and sustain multifaceted careers with both nationally and internationally recognized companies and organizations.
