Equipment Operator

Job description

Role Under minimal supervision, facilitate sorting, positioning, staging and loading waste and recyclable materials for safe transport and efficient removal from the site. Shift will be Monday - Friday, 9:00AM - 5:30/6:00PM. Essential Responsibilities: - Operates heavy equipment, such as a loader, dozer, excavator or similar equipment, as applicable to location. - Performs daily routine safety and equipment operation checks including pre- and post-shift inspections on assigned equipment. - Maintains a safe and clean work environment. - Reports issues to the appropriate authority and in a timely manner. - Acts as a lead or resource for other Equipment Operators, answering questions and providing training. - Supports other areas of the operation, as needed. - Maintains good customer relations and interacts in a professional manner with customers. - Suggests process improvements to enhance efficient removal from the site. - Other duties as assigned.
