Position Overview: - Department: MedSurg - Schedule: PRN - Work Location: UAB St Vincent's Birmingham - Benefits for eligible positions only include: generous paid time off, paid parental leave, Associate Assistance Program, Tuition Reimbursement Program, and more What You Will Do: Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization. - Implements and monitors patient care plans. Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate. - Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care. - Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders. - Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team. What You Will Need: Education: - BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. - Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing required - Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing AND professional licensure at time of hire required.
