Howmet Engine Systems has an immediate opening for an Inspector to assist in the manufacturing process at our facility in Rochester, NY. Basic Function: Inspection of Forged metal seamless rings for aerospace. Responsibilities: Perform set-up of measuring and test equipment as needed to determine dimensional measurements required on customer or in-house product drawings or blueprints Perform set-up and inspection of those products requiring very close tolerances Perform over-inspections on outside machining: Audit parts for conformance to procedures and results of inspections Perform first article inspections and prepare inspection records as required Prepare non-conforming material reports: Maintain a clean and orderly inspection area Perform final production inspection: Basic Qualifications: May be required to wear a respirator for certain tasks Must be able to accurately read standard measuring tools (ruler, Vernier, calipers) Must be able to be certified as a Howmet EHS and OSHA qualified forklift operator with previous forklift operation experience Must have previous experience in a manufacturing facility Candidates should be flexible to work up to a 12-hour shift Salary Range...
