Department: 37104 Advocate Christ Medical Center - Neurology: EEG Status: Full time Benefits Eligible: Yes Hou rs Per Week: 40 Schedule Details/Additional Information: 2nd and 3rd shift Pay Range: $25.30 - $37.95 SOB of $7,500 split in two payments. Major Responsibilities: - Performs and maintains competency in electroencephalograms, portable inpatient EEG's by applying suitable electrodes on predetermined positions on the patient's head, checking the performance of the electrodes, calibrating and adjusting the test apparatus and selecting both predetermined and special electrode combinations dependent on the individual case under study. - Prepares patient for exam and performs exams and procedures. Gathers a comprehensive patient history, appropriate information from patient, patient's records and family members to include neurological symptomatology and medications. Explains test procedures to patient and family members. - Performs procedures according to the laboratory standards and implements alternative methods and/or adjusts controls to obtain optimal recordings.
