Job description
Performs Pharmacist support duties under supervision and responsibility of the registered pharmacist in charge, including, but not limited to: checking prescription forms for completeness, data entry, alerting the Pharmacist to drug interactions or other alerts, and stock maintenance. 1. Accurately prepares and fills medication orders. 2. Retrieves and delivers medications in a timely fashion. 3. Maintains adequate stock levels in the pharmacy, avoiding overstocking whenever possible. 4. Reviews medication areas for expired drugs. 5. Maintains medication refrigerator temperature logs in assigned pharmacy areas. 6. Maintains medication refrigerator temperature logs in pharmacy areas and nursing units (as assigned) 7. Adheres to hospital dress code 8. Maintains an acceptable attendance record 9. Completes PEAK training and educational requirements as per department and/or hospital requirements. 10. Other duties as assigned HS/GED: Entry experience but some exposure to pharmacy support preferred.
