Job description

The Physician, Pulmonologist examines, diagnoses, and treats patients with pulmonology and sleep disorders or diagnoses of in both the inpatient and outpatient setting. The position manages patients in both the impatient and outpatient settings. The Physician collaborates with other medical professionals including, but not limited to: Nurse Practitioners, Physician’s Assistants, Respiratory Therapist, Sleep technicians, Clinical Assistants, Medical Assistants, Clerical, and administrative staff. The physician is responsible for developing the plan of care for both in and outpatients on service, completing consultations, facilitating discharges, and participating in transitions of care. Pulmonology is a consulting service in the hospital. Essential Job Functions: Competency and Experience [Knowledge, Skills and Abilities] - Exam, diagnosis and treat patients with pulmonary and sleep disorders in both the inpatient and outpatient setting.
