POSITION SUMMARY: We are currently searching for a PRN (as needed) Registered Nurse Pre OP/PACU who can work cooperatively with staff and physicians and perform a variety of tasks. Responsible for coordinating intra-operative care of the patient and indirectly responsible through coordination and information sharing of both pre – and post – operative care. Opportunity to train into a OR circulating position available. Responsibilities: Requirements: - Provide nursing care to a diverse population - Coordinate patient care, including admission, planned surgery, discharge, transfer to higher level of care and any appropriate referrals. Assesses, monitor and communicate to the provider changes in condition and potential or actual problems. - Assess the patient, reviews patient’s medical record and required documents to ensure all information consistent with the planned procedure and patient’s confirmation, ensuring pre-requisites and preferences are met. Provide education, discharge planning and intervention to ensure positive patient outcomes. - Document all interventions and activities per standards of care.
