POSITION SUMMARY: The Receptionist/Patient Accounts Representative (Receptionist/PAR) functions as an intermediary between staff, patients, peers, and visitors. The Receptionist/PAR is responsible for maintaining the organization of the medical office by performing various administrative and clerical tasks essential to the provision of efficient and effective care. The Receptionist/PAR is also responsible for the registration of new patients, insurance verification and account counseling. QUALIFICATIONS: - High school diploma or equivalent, required - Experience counting money accurately, required - Experience as a receptionist, patient account representative or similar role, preferred - Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion - Ability to maintain composure when confronted with fast-paced and stressful situations/timelines - Ability and desire to learn new technologies - Must be timely and dependable - Must be able to multi-task, work independently and be very detail oriented - Must have excellent written and oral communication skills - Must be able to complete documentation accurately - Must be able to follow existing workflows...
